Aging

As we age, our skin’s natural production of collagen molecules slows down dramatically, leading to a deflationary effect on the surface of our skin. This causes us to develop fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin. As the scaffolding of our skin deteriorates, it loses its natural laxity and texture, as the elastin that underpins our skin’s elasticity begins to wear out. What is Fibroblast

The Plasma Pen targets the top layer of the skin, the epidermis, as well as the deeper layers of the skin to heat fibroblasts. Fibroblast is a common type of cell found in connective tissue. Fibroblasts are responsible for the production of collagen, and are a vital part of the wound healing processes of the body. By targeting fibroblast cells, the plasma pen is able to shift dermal structure in order to ignite the skin revitalizing process. Through this method, the plasma pen can tighten skin, as well as disrupt the skin’s “memory” of acne scars, skin tags and age spots, thus evening out skin tone. The combination of collagen and elastin production can also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, including smile lines and neck lines.

How it works

It works by converting electrical energy into gaseous diatomic molecular nitrogen and delivering it to the skin’s surface.

The Fiborblasting causes micro-trauma or tiny controlled white injuries dots to the skin’s outer epidermal layer while also heating and disrupting the deep dermal layers. Every time a stream of energy known as the “plasma arc” makes contact with the skin, a tiny white dot is formed, and the area around it is instantly tightened. The dots will scab and will soon fall off, revealing your new healthier, smoother, and tighter skin.

Plasma fibroblast therapy also stimulates the skin’s fibroblasts, triggering new collagen production. That helps strengthen the skin’s dense connective tissues and tightens and heals the skin from within. The age-defying procedure, also known as “soft surgery,” significantly lifts, resurfaces, heals, and regenerates practically any area of the face, neck and body.

Results

The revolutionary cosmetic procedure delivers dramatic results that last. Most clients see tighter skin and a smoother, more even complexion immediately after treatment. As cell turnover occurs and collagen and elastin production increases, continued improvement occurs for weeks to months. The full effect of treatment is usually visible at 8 weeks.

Is it painful

Although we numb before your procedure, some clients take longer for numbing to be fully activated. We suggest scheduling a “numbing product pick up” a date before your procedure. By applying the numbing product 45 minutes before your scheduled procedure, you can ensure that your skin is properly numbed and comfortable during the procedure. As a backup we do recommend taking Tylenol or something stronger.

How many

The number of sessions you’ll need will depend on the extent of skin damage, the treatment area, and your skin tightening goals. Some mild cases achieve the desired results after just “one treatment”. However, some individuals require 2-3 treatments 8 weeks apart to achieve the best possible treatment outcomes.

How long will it last

Once you have completed the recommended number of fibroblast sessions, the results can last for years, depending on your age and lifestyle habits. Treatments can be repeated as necessary (as aging will continue) to maintain the tightening and sculpting effect. Some like to make this a yearly thing.

Side effects

Immediately after the procedure, the skin in the treated areas will turn from white dots to red and slightly swollen, which is normal, and should improve within days. Then tiny scabbing dots will appear typically lasting around a week if following our protocol. NOTE: Any eye area treatment eyes can be swollen for days.

Best time of year 

The best time of year to get Plasma Fibroblast treatment is anytime that you tend to avoid sun exposure. In “Wisconsin” we tend to enjoy our summer days so this procedure is only offered to our outdoor clients October through May. If you have a tropical vacation scheduled, you definitely need to hold off until a time that you will be out of the sun.

Skin’s healing process

It will take 8 weeks for healing process to cycle through completely and for skin to be refreshed and for healing to complete. The most tightening and lifting effect happens 6-8 weeks. You may still get improvements to the area for up to 6 months. Face dots shed approximately 5-10 days following treatment. Dots on the body can often take longer than the face, around 2 weeks. The fresh new skin that is revealed can often be pink lasting days, weeks, to 3 months (rare), fading daily until returning to original coloration. At 8 weeks we recommend 1 of our Treatments to speed this process up.

After the dots shed, the skin may be temporarily tender and peeling or even slightly textured. This is normal and will get smoother each day, return to its’ normal coloration and continue to tighten over the 3 month healing period. As skin returns to its’ original texture and color, the skin may appear healed, but that is just the beginning as the skin underneath does its work. It takes 4 weeks for collagen and elastin production to BEGIN. At 2 weeks use our NuPeel Enzyme this is the only safe enzyme to use after this procedure. This will help speed up the healing time removing any dead crusted skin.

Temporary swelling is normal due to the fact that the area will be recovering from a deliberate controlled wound. Swelling cannot be avoided and will subside in a matter of days. Ice and antihistamine will minimize swelling. You will be following a dry healing method, which means you will do your best to keep treatment area dry until dots shed. With the exception of prescribed products.

Ozone plasma treatment

Before our Fiborblast procedure we will prime your skin with an extra treatment. Ozone Plasma uses cold plasma to rejuvenate the skin and stimulate collagen and fibroblast deep in the dermis. Because it uses cooler atmospheric temperature, it does not create surface trauma and you wont feel a thing. The extremely powerful device penetrates 13,000 volts of Plasma through the epidermis down to the dermis and subcutaneous layers of the skin stimulating high levels of collagen and remodeling the cellular structure from the inside out, resulting in younger skin.

When Jet plasma is mixed with oxide oxygen, ozone is created which kills surface bacteria and is anti-inflammatory to aid in calming keratosis, eczema, and rosacea. 

Downtime

This procedure does require some downtime while the skin heals itself and begins to regenerate. Immediately after treatment, you’ll see mild side effects such as redness, swelling, and small dots along the treatment area. Typically, scabs will form along the small dots of the treatment area at day 2, and then these will fall off after about 5-7 days post-treatment. For most patients, about a week of scabby downtime is expected. When the treatment is around the eye area expect to be extreme swollen 1-3 days. Plan social events accordingly.
