PMU Removal

“After going somewhere based on price my brows were uneven and I didn’t love the shape. My eyeliner didn’t start in my lash line and I had a gap. I was unhappy and discouraged until a friend told me to go see Tonya! She was perfectionist and took her time lightening my brows to redo and she was able to just redo my liner perfectly. A TRUE ARTIST!”  – Mary V.

PMU lightening removal

Here are some reasons you may want to consider lightening removal. Over time your PMU (permanent makeup) brows, Lips or eyeliner may become over saturated and may require removal to lighten enough to start your brows over. OR unfortunately, sometimes the best deal is the worst option. “Good permanent makeup isn’t cheap and cheap permanent makeup isn’t good”, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is!

Like most states in the U.S., Wisconsin has very few laws regulating permanent cosmetics. The best way to obtain attractive, safely applied permanent makeup is to carefully select a qualified and experienced specialist. Unfortunately, many consumers choose a technician based on a low price or convenient quick get in time and later regret that choice.

Are you unhappy

Are your eyebrows in the wrong place, wrong shape, too dark, too light or uneven? Is your eyeliner not starting at your lash line? Do you have pigment going outside your lip boarder? Do you look in the mirror and wish you hadn’t done it? There is hope!

Correction

Although permanent makeup “should” fade over time, inferior work can be heartbreaking and unfortunately we now have technicians using regular tattoo ink for PMU, which doesn’t fade like we would like. Fortunately, in many cases if pigment isn’t too saturated some mistakes can be corrected or at least improved by just a correction session without a removal series.

Our removal

After years in development and testing, THink® Pigment Remover is changing the face of removal with a safe and natural removal solution that is simply and effectively needled into the skin.

THink® Pigment Remover focuses on creating a removal solution that is mild on skin yet tough on ink. In doing so, the formula resulted in the use of a mildly acidic solution – a weak form of glycolic acid – that is readily accepted by the skin, which then allows the pigment particles to move to the skin’s surface and literally be wiped away. Up to 4 removal sessions may be required depending on desired outcome. This formula is the secret weapon behind fast, safe and effective pigment removal for permanent makeup.

THink® Pigment Remover is perfect for the following:

  • Lighten and remove; lift existing PMU pigment
  • Significantly fade unwanted saturation
  • Shape alteration or correction
  • Removing unwanted pigment strokes (microblading or machine hair strokes)
  • Suitable for brows, lips, camouflage, areola, SMP and more

Removes Up to 80% of Unwanted Pigments in Just 2 Sessions. THink® removes up to 80% of unwanted pigment in just one session, then up to 40% each session thereafter. Typically, performing more than 3 sessions of THink® Pigment Removal isn’t necessary. To get these same results using a saline removal could take up to 10 or more sessions…after all, saline is just salt.

We can see the unwanted ink come out as we work. Unlike most removal products, there’s no guessing game to see if it’s working or not. THink® visibly removes the unwanted pigment as we work and can be wiped away with conviction.

Safer

THink® Pigment Remover’s mild acidic base, known as glycolic, is the key factor for such immediate results. The glycolic enters the skin through channels made by the tattoo needle(s) and pulls the unwanted pigment up with it as the solution rises back out of the channels. Just one THink® session can dramatically lighten for easier corrections and/or further removals.

The glycolic base in THink® Pigment Remover allows for a quicker, less annoying healing time with minimal scabbing. Saline removal usually produces lots of blood, oozing and scabbing. All of those factors are minimized with THink® Pigment Remover. This weak glycolic base makes for an effective procedure without unwarranted trauma to the skin.

Aftercare
  • Absorb any lymphatic drainage with a clean Kleenex over the next hour.
  • Until scabbing has fallen off naturally, KEEP DRY DRY DRY!
  • To prevent infection do not touch with yours hands unless sanitized-this is considered an open wound.
  • Once the scabbing, flaking, peeling has come off naturally: Apply aftercare ointment provided or Vitamin E Oil every other day for 2 weeks.

Do not

  • Use Neosporin or Vaseline
  • Disturb the healing process
  • Listen to your friend’s aftercare advice
What to expect

Do not be surprised if your brows look darker at some point, this is a critical stage in the process. Removal typically takes 2-4 sessions to accomplish, depending on your or your technician goals of lightening and how deep the original ink was place. It works by pulling the ink particles up to the surface of the skin. Each session bring the ink closer to the surface, making it easier to remove and requiring fewer follow-ups.

You are so brave! This process is not fun, but it means you are on the path to NEW BROWS!

FYI

Depending on the age of the work and original depth its possible the 1st session wont be very fruitful with expelling old ink but rather working it up closer to the surface. By the second treatment we should have some good flow of ink coming out. Really saturated pigment may take some more persuasion i.e. an extra session or two.

Our goal

PMU Lightening Removal focuses on effectively lightening the pigment in your brows, allowing for necessary adjustments and enhancements in your new brow design. While “complete” removal of the pigment is NOT feasible with any treatment, our process ensures significant lightening to achieve your desired look.
