MICROBLADING | HYBRID
THE PREP
If you’ve ever hired a professional painter, they will tell you that “it’s all in the prep”. Professional painters know that they get the best results when they spend extra time sanding, filling holes, making sure edges are smooth and applying the right primer. Well, microblading is very similar. You will get much better results when you properly prep.
It all starts with a good canvas! The eyebrow area must be healthy, strong, non-sensitive, and non-irritated. Here’s how to get your skin ready for the procedure:
- Do not pick/tweeze/wax/perform electrolysis several weeks before the procedure you are to completely grow them out
- Do not tan two weeks prior to the service, or have a sunburned face
- Do not have any type of facial 2 weeks prior to the procedure
- Do not work out the day of the procedure
- Do not get Botox less than 2 weeks before procedure
- Do not take Fish Oil, Vitamin E or Aspirin or Ibuprofen one week prior to the procedure (they are natural blood thinners)
- Do take Tylenol or other non-aspirin pain relievers (if approved by your physician) one hour prior to procedure.
- Brow color will be determined carefully that will fit your skin type perfectly
- DO wear your makeup on your brows to procedure for pictures
In order to avoid excessive bleeding and poor color deposit:
- Do not drink alcohol 24 – 48 hours before your tattoo
- Do not consume coffee or workout before your procedure
AFTERCARE
Now that you know what NOT to do, it’s time to share my secret recipe for getting amazing microblading results! It’s all in the aftercare.
The day of the treatment: Absorb
After the procedure, gently blot the area with clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every 5 minutes for the full day until the oozing has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymphatic fluids.
Days 1-7: Wash
Gently “dab and splash” wash daily to remove bacteria, build up of product and oils, and dead skin. (Don’t worry, THIS DOES NOT REMOVE THE PIGMENT!)
Gently wash your eyebrows each morning and night with water and an antibacterial soap like Dial Soap, Cetaphil, or Neutrogena. With a VERY light TO BARELY touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the eyebrows. Lighly touch the area in a smooth motion for 10 seconds and rinse with water ensuring that all soap is rinsed away. To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or exfoliants.
Days 1-7: Moisturize
Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare gel with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply this packet should last through both your procedures. NEVER put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo
Important Reminders
- Use a fresh pillowcase while you sleep
- Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of color
- No facials, Botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks
- Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week
- Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after the procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors
- Avoid long, hot showers for the first 10 days
- Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days
- Avoid face-down swimming, lakes, salt chlorinated pool water and hot tubs for the first 2-4 weeks
- Avoid topical makeup and sunscreen on the area while healing
- DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area
- Do NOT resume any method of hair removal; technician will do this at your touchup procedure. LEAVE THEM BE.
- A complementary follow up procedure will be scheduled 4-6 weeks following the procedure..
Remember, with the proper prep and aftercare routine, you will have much better results with your microblading procedure.
Important note about showering:
- Limit your showers to 5 minutes so that you do not create too much steam. Keep your face/procedure area out of the water while you wash your body, then, at the end of your shower, wash your hair. Your face should only be getting wet only at the end of the shower. No shower water pressure on your brows. Avoid excessive rinsing, steam and hot water on the treated area.

FOR ALL TATOOING
Important Reminders
- Use a fresh pillowcase while you sleep
- Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of color
- Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week
- Avoid long, hot showers for the first 10 days
- Avoid sleeping on your treatment area for the first 10 days

- DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area
- A complementary follow up will be scheduled 4-6 weeks following the procedure. This is a two-procedure process to perfect
- If taking prescribed medication for procedure we recommend that you have someone available to drop you off and could drive you home if necessary
- We recommend ALLERGY TESTING a minimum of 24 hours prior to the procedure. This is done during your consultation, unless waived. If you decide not to do a consultation it will also be waived
- Ibuprofen, aspirin, and other blood thinners can all thin the blood. If you take these on a regular basis you will need to discuss this with your technician
- IF YOU ARE DIABETIC: It must be under control and you should consult your physician before procedure. Infection control is very important as you are subject to infection easily and may have a slower healing time
- Use sterile bandages and dressings when necessary. You will not be allowed to donate blood for 1 calendar year following your procedure, per the guidelines of the American Red Cross
Important:
Permanent makeup is NOT recommended for any clients who are or have:
- Pregnant or nursing
- Diabetic
- Undergoing Chemotherapy (consult your doctor)
- Viral infections and/or diseases
- Epilepsy
- A Pacemaker or major heart problems
- Organ transplant recipient
- Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
- Sick (cold, flu, etc.)
- Botox injections in the past 2 weeks
- Use of Accutane in the past year
- Please note: Results will vary by client; some hold most of the color, some hold about half and although rare sometimes we have to start all over. We schedule the same amount of time for your touch up incase that happens. Pigment retention depends on skin type and condition, age, aftercare, sun exposure, use of certain skin products, immune system, activities, medications and other factors. Touch ups are recommended 8-18 months to prevent natural fading.
- Please note: Additional touchups after your 4-6 week touchup will incur a charge.
- Please note: Clients 4-6 week touch up must not exceed over 60 days from original procedure or else there will be a charge.
- Please note: ALL permanent makeup WILL appear darker and bolder due to the pigment being on the surface of the skin and to natural scabbing and healing for the first 10 days. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures. Permanent makeup requires client’s patience for final results. Skin is completely healed 4-6 weeks. We ask clients not to look until at least 4 weeks.
- Please note: Must receive 24-HOUR NOTICE on all cancellations and reschedules fees apply. $100 down payment is nonrefundable and will be the fee with shorter notice, with no shows or if you shall decide not to get your procedure done at the scheduled time for any reason. Due to the long durations of some our services including the touchup procedure that’s complimentary, if we receive less than 24 hour notice to reschedule this will result in a charge equal to 50% of the value of this appointment. If we don’t have a credit card on file the client’s fee will be added to their next appointment service.
- Please note: A free in person consultation is required before booking your procedure. A non-refundable down payment is expected before you can schedule and reserve your procedure appointment.
- Please note: Cash & Check is preferred 3% upcharge with credit card payments.
- Please note: Failure to follow post-treatment instructions may cause loss of pigment, discoloration or infection. Remember; color appears brighter and more sharply defined immediately following the procedure. As the healing progresses, color will soften. It is also common for some of the pigment to vanish and then reappear during the healing process. Swollen skin is pushing the pigment out which is why it is most important to ice in some procedures.
- Please note: Pigment will lighten 30% to 90% this is normal. Adjustments will be made at your follow-up appointment in 4-6 weeks. Your touch-up appointment is made before you leave your procedure. Your procedure price includes only ONE touch-up visit. This visit is free as long as it doesn’t exceed 60 days after the 1st procedure. After 60 days a touch up fee of $150.00 minimum will apply and the touch-up price is subject to change without notice. If you heal perfect and DO NOT need the 30 day touch-up please call to let us know. Not everyone will need a 30 day touch-up but most will.
Please note: If you deliberately violate any of our terms and conditions including our before and aftercare suggestions, we will be excluded from liability and we have the right to cancel any complimentary treatment in the future. We reserve the right to refuse our services. Prices are subject to change at any time.
Please note: We cannot guarantee successful result on 100% of our clients especially those with problem skin and do not offer refunds as we have carried out the treatment at a cost to us.
